Reedsburg had a stretch of three league games in four days this past week as the Home Talent Baseball season for 2024 continued in a busy fashion for the Pirates.
It had already been a season of championships for the Reedsburg Beaver Baseball team going into last week, including a Badger Small championship in the first season of the newly configured conference, the second straight league title for the Beavers, along with a WIAA D-2 Regional title for the second year in a row as well.
Those associated with the Cazenovia Reds Home Talent Baseball team got to taste victory for the first time this season on Friday night as Caz edged Plain in dramatic fashion, 2-1, to pick up a win in the Night League season.

Ithaca/Weston had five athletes competing at the WIAA State Track and Field Meet in La Crosse this past week. Kaylee Peterson, Tristen Peterson, Aubri Koch and Kaylee Miller ran in the 4x100 girls relay with Kaylee Peterson also placing fourth in the girls 800 with Miller also competing in the high jump. Kaylee Peterson has been fortunate enough to be on the podium on multiple occasions at the WIAA State Meet for the Ithaca/Weston co-op program and after a fifth-place finish in the D-3 girls 800-meter run, she bettered it over the weekend, placing fourth in another sterling effort for the senior in her final season as a high school trackster.
Make it a 3-0 record in the Night League for the Reedsburg Pirates in Home Talent Baseball after last Thursday’s 9-1 victory over Plain at Nishan Park.
The 39th Annual Paul Rosholt Memorial Golf Outing, sponsored by the Reedsburg Athletic Club, is set for Thursday, June 13, at the Reedsburg Country Club.
