The top baseball players in the Ridge and Valley Conference for this spring have been recognized as the all-league teams have been announced. Weston was 4-8 in the conference season, finishing ahead of two other teams, but had no first-team selections in the all-league voting but three players were named to the second-team unit.

The Cazenovia Reds baseball team has limited options right now in terms of a lineup as they deal with roster depth issues and it hurt them this past week in a pair of league losses in Home Talent Baseball action.

The Reedsburg Beaver boys tennis program celebrated a fine 2021 season with the season ending awards banquet recently.

Coaches Andy Gesteland, Al Rist and Corrine Fish guided the Beavers to a second-place Badger North finish and a 10-3 overall dual match record with both accomplishments not having been matched in several seasons.

The Ridge and Valley Conference announced the All-Conference softball team for the just completed 2021 season last week.

No Weston players were among the 18-player All-Conference group but a pair of seniors were accorded all-league honorable mention.

Despite a wash-out on Saturday, play in all three age brackets were completed over the weekend in the Fourth Annual Reedsburg Area Youth Softball Tournament at Nishan Park and Oak Park in Reedsburg.

The Reedsburg Pirates fell to 2-2 for the Sunday League Home Talent Baseball season after a wild 13-11 loss Saturday afternoon at Sauk-Prairie.

There were 77 teams with over 1,200 student athletes that participated in the Wisconsin High School Clay Target State Tournament recently. 

At least one player from seven of the eight Badger North baseball squads earned first-team All-Conference recognition this spring with Reedsburg one of those seven.

Reedsburg won three matches during the Badger North girls soccer season this spring, the most league victories in a few years for the program, but despite the upgrade in conference wins, the Beavers had no All-Conference first-team selections this year.

Reedsburg’s Nishan Park will be a busy place this weekend as RAYS (Reedsburg Area Youth Softball) hosts its 4^th Annual Beaver Classic Tournament with action running Friday through Sunday.
