It turned out to be a rough start to the conference season for Reedsburg Beaver boys basketball last week. The Beavers had a chance to win each game but couldn’t push it over the top in losses to Sauk-Prairie and Stoughton after starting the season with two non-conference wins.
Offense has not been a problem two games in for the Reedsburg Beaver boys basketball squad with over 70 points scored in each game and the offense was necessary as the Beavers open with two wins over Sparta and Tomah in a pair of high-scoring games.
It’s not even the middle of December yet but the Reedsburg Beaver Girls Basketball team already has 6 games on their ledger. This past week opened with a win at Tomah but the Beavers followed that up with losses on back-to-back nights against Mauston and in league play at Mount Horeb.
Weston lost the first game as part of a five-game home-stand in high school boys hoops against New Lisbon and were hoping for more success but the Silver Eagles fell twice over the weekend against De Soto and a strong Elkhart Lake-Glenbeulah squad.
It’s wrestling season once again for the Ithaca/Weston co-op. Weston High School teacher Marcus McCauley is one of the coaches and offers a sneak peek into the season.
It was a lot of action in a short amount of time this weekend for the Reedsburg Beaver wrestlers as the regular season got underway with a flourish for the varsity wrestlers, JV wrestlers and female wrestlers.
This past week was a rough one for the Badger Lightning girls hockey team, dropping a league game at Beaver Dam, 4-0, and a non-league game at Wisconsin Valley by a score of 7-4.

Coach Ty Horkan’s first season at the helm of the Reedsburg Beaver boys basketball program was a frustrating one at times. The Beavers played some good basketball during the course of last season but came up short in many close games, leading to an 8-18 overall record.
