The Reedsburg Beavers are at or close to full strength now on the wrestling mat as some key combatants have returned to the lineup and the Beavers showed quite well this past week with three lopsided dual meet wins and a strong showing at Saturday’s Sparta Invite as well.
Reedsburg competed at Waunakee last week in what was only the fourth competition all year for the Reedsburg Beaver gymnasts but scored only 124.225 points in a dual meet loss to the Warriors.
The Mount Horeb Vikings came to RAHS last Thursday night for a Badger Small boys basketball game as a state-ranked team and the Vikings showed why for much of the night on the way to a 56-41 victory over the Beavers.
The Badger Lightning area girls high school hockey team and the Cap City Cougars played an even game in Badger Conference play Thursday night in Lake Delton but the Cougars left in the end with a 4-3 win.
It was a night of taking care of business for the Ithaca/Weston wrestlers on Thursday, winning in fairly convincing fashion in duals vs. New Lisbon, Sparta and Royall.
The Reedsburg Beaver gymnasts have had only three competitions this season, even though they’ve been practicing since early November. Reedsburg was looking forward to competing in two meets this past week but Mother Nature had other ideas.
