It looked to be a challenging season opener for the Reedsburg Beaver girls basketball last week as Reedsburg opened the regular season and the conference season at the same time on the road at Sauk-Prairie against an Eagles squad that has been strong in recent seasons.

The regular season slate begins this week for the Weston Silver Eagle boys basketball team, as the Wonewoc-Center Wolves were set to visit on Tuesday night.

It was a long trip for the members of the Badger Lightning girls hockey co-op with a season opening game Saturday night at Hartland Arrowhead. A rough first period resulted in an early deficit and the Lightning fell 6-2 in the 2023-2024 lid lifter.

Wonewoc-Center/Weston Silverwolves eight-man football was part of the Ridge and Valley Conference West Division eight-man league for the first time this fall and several Silverwolves players earned second team all-league recognition.

Four members of the 2023 Reedsburg Beaver girls golf program have been recognized for their efforts in the classroom in addition to on the golf course. The GCAW (Golf Coaches Association of Wisconsin) announces an All-State Academic each season and RAHS is well represented this year.

Weston may not have won a league match this fall in Ridge and Valley Conference volleyball but the efforts of Silver Eagles junior Vivian Spencer did to go unnoticed.

The 2023 Reedsburg Beaver Soccer program and Head Coach David Fitzpatrick has announced the team’s award winners for the just completed season.

Reedsburg was 6-12-2 overall, highlighted perhaps by a conference win vs. Poynette/Portage, as the Beavers played competitive matched against some of the top teams on the schedule.

The communities of Wonewoc and Union Center celebrated the first ever WIAA State Championship in girls volleyball for Wonewoc-Center High School this past weekend.

The Reedsburg Beaver boys soccer team had three players earn All-Conference recognition this fall in the first ever season of the Badger Small configuration.

Reedsburg was 1-5-1 in league play this season with a win over Portage/Poynette and a tie vs. Stoughton with a mark of 6-12-2 overall.
