Three School Board members plan to run again in this year’s election.

The incumbents have filed their paperwork with the School District of Reedsburg. Two were originally elected and one was appointed to fill a vacant seat. Now, all will be on the ballot later this spring.

Weston FBLA completed its annual Food & Hygiene Drive. It raised $723 in monetary donations and collected 974 food items. The donations will benefit Weston families, the Reedsburg Area Food Pantry, Passages, and the Ada James Place After-School Program.

Reedsburg Area High School’s athletic fields will continue to receive TLC through 2024.

After months of discussion and negotiations, union representatives and the School District of Reedsburg have come to agreements on base wage contracts.

The contracts were approved during Monday night’s regular Board meeting.

Reedsburg Area High School students will be able to choose some new classes for the 2024-2025 academic year.

On Monday night, the School Board approved six courses. No other classes will be eliminated to accommodate the new curriculum.

Reedsburg has once again received the go-ahead to participate in the Dorian Vocal Festival at Luther College in Iowa.

Six students were selected for this year’s festival. They, along with teacher Kristen Sporakowski, received approval to attend the festival during Monday night’s School Board meeting.

Those who are interested in enrolling their young children in the Weston School District should plan to attend the Little Eagle Round Up.

It will be held from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Jan. 15 at the elementary school.

The Webb Care Closet will be open from 3 to 6 p.m. Dec. 14.

Guests should use the door by the Webb Middle School cafeteria.

Appointments are not required.

The closet has clothing for those in need.
