RAHS graduation is May 24

The Class of 2024 will be front and center Friday at Reedsburg Area High School.

Commencement will start at 7:30 p.m. May 24 in the large gym.

High school students explore engineering at Hankscraft

Employees of Hankscraft Inc., a global manufacturing company headquartered in Reedsburg, provided valuable career insights to local high school students in an engineering and manufacturing career exploration event on April 23.

Schools present several concerts

The School District of Reedsburg is inching closer to the end of the school year, which means it’s spring concert season.

A plethora of performances are scheduled. All are free and will take place at the CAL Center.

--Reedsburg Area High School will present its Spring Band POPS Concert at 7 p.m. May 9.

School District hires associate principals

The School District of Reedsburg has two new associate principals.

Matt Bauer has accepted the role at Reedsburg Area High School, and Jackie Craker has joined Prairie Ridge Intermediate School. Their positions will be effective July 1.

Roofing bid approved for Reedsburg Area High School

A portion of the RAHS roof needs to be repaired, and the School Board has approved a bid for the work.

Pioneer Roofing was the low bidder at $349,429.

Repairs are needed above the CAL Center.

Funding will be split between the 2023-2024 and 2024-2025 building improvement budget.

Families have fun at CLC learning night

CLC families enjoyed the Science Technology Engineering and Math (STEM) and Game Event. The families created a Levitating Ball Toy, Catapults, and Paper Inch Worms that they raced by blowing on a straw to move them as inch worms move.

School District updates bus driver pay

A special meeting by the Reedsburg School Board resulted in action one item last week.

The board met in closed session to further discuss the sale of the former Loganville Elementary School and paraprofessional pay, and no action was taken on either item. However, the Board did vote on a new bus driver pay schedule.
