Reedsburg’s Area High School Jazz Band will entertain next week.

A concert will begin at 7 p.m. March 14 at the CAL Center.

There is no admission charge.

Sacred Heart Catholic School middle students performed “Law & Order: Nursery Rhyme Unit” Feb. 8-9 at the CAL Center.  The students worked for months on this pun-filled production, which helped raise money for The Den at Reedsburg Area High School.

Reedsburg Area High School’s Choraliers group will host its annual Home Show this weekend.

They will take place at 7 p.m. March 8 and 9 and 2 p.m. March 10 at the CAL Center.

The School District of Reedsburg will seek input from the community starting in early March.

For the first time since 2012, Reedsburg Area High School’s mock trial team has made it to the State competition.

According to Advisor Brian Pittman, the varsity team will compete in Madison on March 1.

The School District of Reedsburg has posted its spring edition of its newsletter, Fearless Pursuits.

The newsletter was created last fall as a way to keep in touch with families and residents in general. It is mailed to all District residents twice a year.

A building that has worried the School District of Reedsburg for years could be addressed this autumn.

On Monday night, School Board members were told there’s the possibility of a referendum for a new middle school being on the ballot this fall. The school would replace Webb Middle, which was originally the high school.

It's National FFA Week and Reedsburg Area High School and Weston are both celebrating and educating.

On Monday, officers gave a brief presentation before the Reedsburg School Board, where they summarized their activities with the organization. They also handed out milk and cookies.

A familiar face will lead Prairie Ridge Intermediate for the next school year.

On Monday night, the Reedsburg School Board accepted a proposal to promote Travis Frye to the top principal position. He is currently the school’s associate principal, and his experience made him a prime candidate for the job.

Reedsburg Area High School jazz musicians have received approval to attend the Head of the Lakes Jazz Festival in Minnesota.

On Monday night, School Board members approved the trip, which is scheduled March 15-16 in Duluth.
