Madison College hosts blood drive

An American Red Cross blood drive will be held March 4 at Madison College in Reedsburg.

It will run from 1 to 5 p.m.

Those who give will receive a $10 e-gift card for pet supplies. They can also enter for the chance to win a $3,000 gift card.

Library hosts scarf workshop

Local artist Ricki Grunberg will lead a program March 9 and 16 at Reedsburg Public Library.

Dyeing Silk Scarves for Beginners will be held at 9:30 and 11 a.m. each Saturday, and guests may register for whichever one is most convenient for them. Sessions will be held in the Community Room.

Designer selected for proposed roundabout in Reedsburg

This week, Reedsburg Common Council approved a designer for a possible roundabout in town.

Team Engineering was selected to draw up how a roundabout could be installed at Viking Drive and 19th Street. City Administrator Tim Becker said installation of such roundabout could possibly happen in 2025.

County Board looks into selling Health Care Center

The Sauk County Health Care Center in Reedsburg may be sold.

At this month’s meeting, which was held last week, supervisors accepted a proposal to hire a broker to see if there are any qualified buyers who may assume ownership of the property.

Contractor chosen for Plum Street improvements

The City of Reedsburg has hired the low bidder to do sewer and water work on Plum Street.

On Monday night, Reedsburg Common Council accepted a bid from A-1 Excavating LLC to complete reconstruction.

The low bid was $331,102, and other bids went up to $496,963.

City suggests Baraboo River landing to County Board

The City of Reedsburg has a proposal for the Sauk County Board regarding the Baraboo River in the area.

This week, Common Council members agreed to send a letter on the City’s behalf to the County to request a canoe landing along the river near Highway 136.
