Historical Perspective: February ice storm of 1922 was worst in history

One of the worst storms to hit Wisconsin occurred on February 22, 1922. The freezing rain, hail and sleet, accompanied by lightning and 30-mile-per-hour winds, coated trees and took down power and phone lines.

Western Technical College releases President’s List

Area students are among the most recent Western Technical College President’s List of High Distinction. To qualify, students must earn a GPA of 3.5 or higher and carry six or more credits toward an associate degree or technical diploma.

Reedsburg natives include Abigale Carrigan, Samuel Clark, Benjamin Herschleb and Coralee Seal.

Reedsburg man added to Marquette University Dean’s List

Mack Nelson of Reedsburg made the Dean’s List at Marquette University for the fall 2021 semester.

Nelson is working toward a bachelor’s degree in exercise physiology.

To qualify for the list, science students must complete 12 credits with a GPA of at least 3.5.

Caz woman graduates from UW-Stout

A Cazenovia native is among this winter’s graduates from the University of Wisconsin-Stout.

Paige Morris earned a bachelor’s degree in management during December commencement. She was among 545 undergraduates and 106 graduate students who finished their programs.
