Failed referendums trigger school cuts, closures and new funding pushes across Wisconsin

In the April 7th election. Sauk Prairie School District’s $68.4 million capital improvement referendum was defeated by 420 votes, or nearly seven percent, while the $3.2 million operating referendum lost by just 44 votes—less than a percent of the vote.
