Programs on the agenda next week include a beginner’s crochet session, RPL’s cookbook club for adults, a spring break movie for teens, and spring related themes for homeschoolers and storytimes.

Adults, start your week by learning how to crochet during Mingle and Muse on Monday, March 30, at 10 a.m. The Sauk County Stitchers group will teach Beginners Basics single crochet via Powerpoint and hands-on practice. The Stitchers is a diverse group that enjoys getting together to crochet, knit, sew, cross stitch and do other crafts. All yarn and crochet hooks will be provided. There is no cost or registration required to attend this program.

RPL’s Cookbook Club will meet on Wednesday, April 1, at 6 p.m. to share prepared New York Times cookbook recipes. According to Cookbook Club Facilitator Heidi Feller, the New York Times has published many popular editor-curated cookbooks that stand the test of time. There are several copies at the library for you to check out, take home, and test a recipe for the session. The group will also briefly review experiences with the Julia Child recipes from the cancelled March program.

Registration is required via a call to the library or online at the library’s website calendar, www.reedsburglibrary.org.

Youth programming kicks off the week with a special movie for Teen Time on Tuesday, March 31, at

1 p.m. Students in Grades 6 through 12 on spring break are invited to enjoy the film featuring the live- action film about training your dragon with a run time of 125 minutes. Popcorn will be provided. No registration is necessary.

Reedsburg Public Library’s Homeschool Group will be meeting on April 1 at 2 p.m. Homeschool families are invited to join in a number of gardening activities. These include planting seeds, creating plant growth journals, and the painting of ceramic garden pots. No registration or fee is required to attend this program.

Babygarten on Wednesday at 10 a.m. and preschool storytime on Thursday at 10 will be all about bunnies and springtime in this week leading up to the Easter holiday. A new springtime scavenger hunt will be available in the Children’s Area anytime the library is open.

As a reminder, the library will be closed from April 3 through April 5 for the Easter holiday.
