Scooter crash results in OWI arrest

A Baraboo man was taken into custody after the Sauk County Sheriff’s Office was called to investigate a scooter crash.

Authorities were notified of the incident at about 2:30 a.m. Sept. 6. According to the Sauk County Sheriff’s Office, a deputy arrived at the intersection of Linn and Mulberry streets in West Baraboo. There, he found Anthony J. John, 47. An initial investigation shows John was riding a 2020 Zhejiang TaoTao scooter when it crashed. John was ultimately arrested on a charge of operating while intoxicated-fourth offense.
