Seth Peterson Cottage opens briefly for free

June 6 is the free State Park Statewide Open House, where people can check out Wisconsin’s State Parks without a sticker.
Among the places that will be open is the Seth Peterson and Frank Lloyd Wright Cottage on Mirror Lake.
Guided tours will be offered from 1 to 4 p.m.; the final tour starts at 3:30 p.m. during a special open house June 6. Guests will have a chance to learn more about Wright as well as Seth Peterson.
Tours will be offered the same time again on June 13, but there will be charges. This date will include the presentation of the 2021 Kristin Visser Historical Preservation Award.
The cottage is located on the south side of Mirror Lake along Mirror Lake Road. It lies to the east of Mirror Lake State Park Headquarters.
