SP Middle School drama presents ‘The Reluctant Dragon’

Sauk Prairie Middle School drama is proud to present the funny, family friendly show, “The Reluctant Dragon,” written by Ed Monk, based on the story by Kenneth Graham. Performances are October 18 and 19 at 7:00 p.m. and October 20 at 2:00 p.m. in the River Arts Center. Come and join us to see: the zany village of Veesaldorf where a young girl named Charity (Evelyn Fritsch) is more interested in fairy tales than her daily farm chore of painting the pigs. To her delight, her dreams of adventure come true one day when she finds a poetry-loving dragon in the woods (Cheyanne Witthoft). But her new friendship is quickly threatened when the frightened villagers call for Sir Wombat (Sara Endres) to slay the dragon. Can Charity come up with a plan to save her friend and convince the village that dragons are peaceful creatures? Cast includes: Emerson Drew, Julia Eckstrom, Colin Graber, Abby Hollenberger, Christopher Hutson, Keeli Kraemer, Sawyer Larson, Logan Meier, Elizabeth Potter, Jack Rausch, Jade Reeves, Masen Schmidt, Ava Shimpach, Mia Sonday,and Chassity Wilke.
